Christmas saw the launch of ScS's full e-commerce functionality on their website, allowing customers to buy, and pay for their new sofa online, instantly.

Previously customers could only apply for finance, or reserve a sofa online, but now the new website gives customers the option to purchase their brand new sofa from the comfort of their home in a matter of minutes.

Along with welcoming the New Year, Armadillo welcomed some new faces to the team. With a great run up to Christmas and new work in the pipeline, some extra hands have been recruited to keep up the pace.

In the design room, a new Digital Manager has been freshly installed in the form of Eric Kemp-Gee. Eric will help out on all of the technical web builds and designs, ensuring all websites are fully compliant and to the highest standard. Eric also brings with his years of experience and new ideas, which will help Armadillo progress in the fast paced web world.

Armadillo have been appointed by Gateshead Council to take their 'Travel Matters' initiative online, incorporating a fully content managed website and brand identity. The website is aimed at school children and teachers, focusing on more sustainable travel ideas and initiatives.

The main concept for the website and accompanying material is that it has to have 'personality' - bringing a degree of fun and individuality to the Travel Matters brand, while also remaining an informative and content rich website

This month saw Armadillo MD, Berry Burgess, take to the stage in front of 250 delegates for the first Business Toolkit Event. The event took place in the grand setting of the Baltic Centre for Contemporary art on Thursday 3rd December.

As part of the day long event, Berry Burgess delivered an inspiring and creative talk on the A-Z of Marketing. With over 30 years in the business under his belt and successfully navigating the murky waters of the recession, he imparted advice, guidance and even a secret or two about how to develop as a business.

Executive recruitment agency, Edgar Ford, have appointed Armadillo to launch the brand in the UK. The task will include rebranding, advertising, marketing collateral, e-markering and social marketing. As well as implementing the brand, Armadillo will be producing a fully content managed website which will be the foundation of the Edgar Ford UK business.

Edgar Ford specialise in recruitment for professional vacancies, as well as providing high end recruitment advice. The new website will be informative, containing a wealth of information for both employers and prospective candidates. As well as employing comprehensive opportunity listings, the website will be developed into a fully e-commerce orientated site, allowing businesses to manage payments online. The website also includes an extensible content managed back office allowing the site to grow with the company.

This month saw the launch of Ward Hadaway's Fastest 50 with the Journal, which highlights and celebrates companies and organisations in the North East showing the strongest growth as a way of rewarding high achieving companies and encouraging others.

Armadillo led the design and production of this year's event with the usual creativity and style, creating Ward Hadaway's very own Formula One car and covering all print and promotional materials.

Go Smarter launched a new campaign in Low Fell this month aiming to help people get the most out of traveling smarter, including discounts, incentives and more to get people interested in walking and cycling, as well as public transport.

The campaign covered printed materials including direct mail, information leaflets and sign up forms. The design had to be interesting enough for people to notice and want to read, but have all the key information in an easy to understand way.
