Make Your Own Handwriting Fonts For Free
I came across this useful website via my feed in Google Reader and I recommend it to everyone!
What is it?
It is an online conversion tool that creates a genuine .ttf True Type Font from your own handwriting.
How can I do this?
You download a simple PDF template, print it off, and fill in the boxes with your handwriting. The website advises to stay within the guides of typography to ensure an accurate conversion of your font. Once completed, you then scan in the image at a high resolution (300 dpi) and the upload it to the website.
You can then name your font and copyright it in your own name. It then only takes a matter of minutes to process, then the website provides a link for you to download your font, and Voila!
It is great fun and we got the whole office to complete a pile of the forms. Especially useful when the credit crunch is on and you can whip up some interesting fonts for both personal and commercial projects.

thanks for the awesome post! I have wanted to do this for while but thought it would cost me some major moolah! but this tool looks really awesome! going to have a go and set about having many of my own personalised fonts. It also helps when i am looking for something but can find it well now i will be able to put something together and send it here!
